About Alive
Our purpose is to help the young people to develop a bond between them and God that is unbreakable, and to help them realize that life is not a life at all without Christ. We hope that you will join us for this life changing experience.

From March 12-14, 2010 the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Carolina Conference will be holding the second annual Alive Youth Rally.  Last year was our inaugural event at which many who attended committed their lives to Christ. It was a powerful event in which miracle after miracle took place.

This year our event theme is “happy r u”, in which we will be focusing on our Christian walk and the journey to kingdom. Today, our society is filled with depression, as youth and young people feel like they have nothing to live for and no way to belonging. The youth culture is rampant with things to entertain them and distract them from God. But there is not much to guide them to lasting happiness and fulfillment. This year as we pray for this event, we are praying that through this ministry God will guide the youth of our churches, and families to find happiness and direction through Christ words in Matthew 5.

The event will begin with onsite registration at 5 PM on March 12, 2010. Registration is can be done online here as well. The first session will start at 7 PM, and our last meeting will conclude Saturday night. There will be a breakfast served Sunday morning for those that stay Saturday night.

This event has been sponsored by the Spartanburg SDA Church and the Carolina Conference and will be Free to all attendees (donations accepted!). The first 100 to register online will receive a Free Alive t-shirt upon arrival. We will also be providing lodging and food during the event at no cost to those who would like to stay on the church campus. However, we have provided a list of hotels close to the church under the “Event Info” menu on our website in case you and your group or family wishes to stay in one of them.

We will have volunteers and sponsors at the event to help supervise, however we do ask that you bring your own chaperones with you, as we ask that no one under the age of 18 be unsupervised.

Our purpose for this event is to see the youth in attendance grow in their relationship with Christ and to see His plan for them. We also ask that you will join us in praying for this event.
